Warranty & Care Instructions

The jewellery we create for our clients is unbelievably unique in all of the ways it is made – from each genetically love-laced inclusion to the ways each component is brought together by hand.

If you are intending to purchase one or several items with the intention of passing it down as a legacy piece, a certain level of care will be required to preserve it in its original state. This would include keeping it in an air tight space, out of direct sunlight and away from extreme temperatures (or other harsh environment conditions that might affect it). Sometimes when jewellery isn’t worn, the opposite happens and it looks ‘dirty’ or discoloured simply from not being in a properly air-sealed container or being aged by low light over time. It is important to take out occasionally and clean to ensure it remains in pristine condition.

If you are intending to purchase one or several items with the intention of wearing it daily, these care instructions are strictly adhered to.

All DNA & breastmilk keepsake jewellery is made primarily with resin. Resin is a wonderful & resilient medium that commands a certain level of care. General wear and tear should be expected and having it cleaned regularly by a professional would be advised.

It is strongly recommended that your jewellery is removed before bed, bathing, showering, and engaging in any water based or physical activities. Sweat, chlorine, cleaning products, perfume, creams, oils, silver-tarnish cleaning products, light sources and sunshine will compromise the integrity of your jewellery and can lead to tarnish, discolouration and breakage.

Wearing your piece anywhere at anytime includes some level of risk because of snagging on material, scratching on hard surfaces, possibly losing it somewhere or similar – if you are purchasing a truly one-of-a-kind irreplaceable item of which you are genuinely afraid you might ruin or lose, it is most likely a better idea you treat it as a legacy piece.

Using your jewellery for anything than adornment purposes and/or not adhering to the care instructions will void any existing guarantees we provide.

Cleaning Your Jewellery

A silver gold based polishing cloth may be used on the metal aspects of your piece. NEVER CLEAN THE RESIN COMPONENT OF THE JEWELLERY WITH THESE CLOTHS. The resin component can be cleaned with a plain soft cloth.

Storing Your Jewellery

All jewellery should be stored away from natural light, heat sources, and in a protective (lined) jewellery box or tarnish resistant pouch. Do not store in the bathroom or areas of high moisture.
